The Hellenic Chips Competence Centre (HCCC). participated in the 29th Euromicro Conference Series on Digital System Design (DSD 2026), held in Kraków, Poland, on 2–4 September 2026.
During the conference, Georgios-Ioannis Paliaroutis from the University of Thessaly presented the work entitled “Fostering Excellence in AI and Semiconductor Innovation in Greece – The Case of the Hellenic Chips Competence Centre.”
The presentation introduced the mission and key objectives of HCCC, with particular emphasis on the complementary expertise and contributions of its partners in Artificial Intelligence and semiconductor technologies. It also highlighted HCCC services and activities related to knowledge transfer, skills development, and support for companies, SMEs and startups, contributing to the strengthening of the Greek semiconductor ecosystem.
Through these activities, HCCC also aims to contribute to the broader European effort to strengthen Europe’s technological capabilities, competitiveness and strategic autonomy in the semiconductor sector.
Participation in DSD 2026 also provided an excellent opportunity for knowledge exchange, networking and the development of new collaborations with researchers and organisations from different countries.
