For the 5th consecutive year, the Emerging Tech Forum of HETiA – Hellenic Emerging Technologies Industry Association confirmed its emblematic character as the central reference point for strategic dialogue on chips, microelectronics, emerging technologies, and their applications in Greece and internationally.
The 5th Emerging Tech Forum, held on 11 December 2025 at the Hotel Grande Bretagne in Athens, highlighted the role of chips as a core technological pillar for the competitiveness, resilience, and strategic autonomy of Greece and Europe, bringing together representatives from public authorities, European institutions, industry, research, and the investment community.

Morning institutional meeting and Memorandum of Cooperation with the Ministry of Development

In the context of the Forum, an internal morning institutional meeting preceded the main event, bringing together HETiA, representatives of the Hellenic Government, and European institutions, focusing on the strategic coordination of policies and actions for the development of the Greek microchips and microelectronics ecosystem.
The discussion addressed the national strategy for microchips, alignment with the European priorities of the EU Chips Act, and the establishment of stable and effective mechanisms for cooperation between public authorities, industry, and the research community. Particular emphasis was placed on the transition from strategic planning to coordinated and measurable implementation actions with tangible ecosystem impact.
Within this framework, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between HETiA and the Ministry of Development, institutionalizing collaboration to strengthen innovation, industrial development, and the international presence of Greece in the fields of microchips, microelectronics, and deep tech technologies. The Memorandum constitutes a significant institutional milestone, reaffirming HETiA’s role as a reliable interlocutor of the State and a bridge to the broader ecosystem.

The Forum within the framework of the Hellenic Chips Competence Centre (HCCC)

This year’s edition of the Forum was implemented within the framework of the Hellenic Chips Competence Centre (HCCC) project, highlighting its role as a key pillar of the National Strategy for Microchips and Greece’s alignment with European semiconductor (chips) policies under the EU Chips Act.
