Athens, 1 September 2025 – An article co-authored by Dr. Emmanuel Zervakis (President of HCCC), John Kikidis (Vice-President of HCCC), and Georges Kotrotsios (Vice-President of HCCC), published in Kathimerini, highlights the importance of semiconductors in the global digital economy and explores the opportunities for Greece to strengthen its role in this strategically significant sector.
The authors underline that semiconductors are not just a technological component but a key driver of innovation, powering applications from artificial intelligence and next-generation connectivity to advanced manufacturing and healthcare. As they note:
“Semiconductors lie at the heart of today’s digital transformation. Greece has the potential to become an active player in Europe’s semiconductor ecosystem by leveraging its innovation capacity and investing in targeted national initiatives.”
